Cancellation Policy
Cancel anytime in two clicks. No phone calls, no retention pitches.

Plain summary: Cancel your subscription from Dashboard → Billing at any time. You keep paid features until the end of the current period. Your data stays intact unless you separately delete the account.
1. Who can cancel
Any registered user with an active paid subscription on AasanKhata can cancel at any time. Free-tier users have nothing to cancel — simply stop using the Service or request account deletion (see Section 5).
2. How to cancel a subscription
- Sign in at aasankhata.in/login.
- Go to Dashboard → Billing.
- Click Cancel subscription.
- Confirm. You'll receive an email with the effective end date.
If you can't access your account for any reason, email refunds@aasankhata.in from your registered email and we will cancel manually within 1 business day.
3. When cancellation takes effect
- Cancellation stops the next renewal — your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.
- You continue to have full access to all paid features until that date.
- After that date, your account automatically reverts to the Free tier. You do not lose any data.
4. What happens to your data
- Invoices, clients, businesses: retained on your account. You can still view, export, and download PDFs.
- Limits: usage is restricted to Free-tier limits going forward (e.g., reduced monthly invoice creation cap).
- Re-subscription: upgrade again at any time and resume exactly where you left off.
5. Account deletion
Cancellation stops billing but keeps your data. To permanently delete your account and all associated data:
- Go to Settings → Account.
- Click Delete account. You'll be asked to type your email to confirm.
We delete personal data within 30 days, except records we are required to retain by Indian tax law (e.g., GST records for 6 years per Section 36 of the CGST Act 2017). Backups are purged on a 30-day rolling cycle.
6. Refunds on cancellation
Refunds (if any) are governed by the Refund Policy. Cancelling alone does not automatically trigger a refund.
7. Reactivation
- Within 30 days of cancellation, your subscription history (plan, billing cycle) is preserved. Re-upgrading restores it instantly.
- After account deletion, reactivation is not possible — you would need to create a new account.
